Jevco Chengdu Ltd. is a subsidiary company of Jevco International Inc. The company was established in January 2005 and is located in the city of Chengdu in the Sichuan province in western China.

Employees are graduates of technical schools and under go continual on site training.

Staples of U.S. manufacturing for years, HAAS, CNC mills and Sunnen hones are imported from the United States.

Super precision grinders are capable of holding the tolerances needed for precision collet manufacturing.

Jevco Chengdu’s facility is located in an Export Processing Zone (EPZ) meaning that imported raw materials and product exports do not have to be processed through typical Chinese customs. The facility was built in 2004 and features state of the art design and architecture well suited to Jevco’s close tolerance, high precision processes. CNC lathes, CNC mills, grinders, and specialty equipment were sent from the US and Europe.

Lean Manufacturing Techniques and the cellular arrangement of the machinery reduce product movement and waste.

Proven techniques used at the U.S. facility for years are an integral part of the training at our Chengdu facility.

All Collets are 100% inspected for Run Out.

Jevco Chengdu has the same manufacturing capabilities as Jevco’s US facility for collet production. Managers and production personnel have been trained at Jevco’s US facility and utilize the same production processes that have been developed and fine tuned over 15 years in the US manufacturing facility.

Inspection methods mirror those of the US manufacturing facility procedures.

In process inspection throughout the manufacturing process assures the highest quality products.

Jevco Chengdu is currently manufacturing a full range of collets for ball bearing and air bearing spindles. All collets are made from raw materials that have been supplied from the US. Jevco Chengdu is manufacturing collets complete including all machining, grinding and heat treating processes.

Our Chengdu facility features manual and automatic Myford grinders imported from England. Myford is considered one of Europe’s top grinder companies manufacturing machines since 1934.

CNC machines and process control assures consistency from part to part. Extensive training beginning in high school and continuing trade school ,gives our machinist the base skills required to build top quality products.

Collets made in Chengdu will be shipped to both the US facility and Hong Kong distribution center. New items to be added to Jevco Chengdu’s production later this year include tooling plugs and air bearings.

Both the Chengdu and U.S. facility utilizes the same ERP system to provide continuity throughout the organization.

The current facility allows for significant expansion.
